Havre High names February students of the month

Havre High School senior Kadia Miller was named one of the February students of the month.

The daughter of Harold and Rhea Miller, Kadia has three siblings, Amelia, 19, Yelena, 15 and Henry, 12.

Kadia is heavily involved with school activities, including being a member of the Havre High girls basketball team and student council as well as the National Honor Society.

Outside of school, she spends her time working on the farm, boating and traveling, while her hobbies and interests include playing basketball, spending time with her family and friends, and learning how to drop elbows on physics problems.

Kadia was nominated by Ed Norman because she "works hard academically and excels in her athletic endeavors." Norman said Kadia is "a confident and happy person who greets students and staff alike with a smile each and every day."

Once graduated, Kadia plans to attend Montana State University in Bozeman to pursue a degree in architecture.

Hailey Mosbrucker, also a senior, is Havre High's other February student of the month.

The daughter of Jim and Kim, Hailey has one older sibling, Gavin, 20.

When not in school, Hailey works at the Northern Montana Care Center kitchen as a kitchen aide and babysits. Her hobbies and interests include hanging out with friends and family, traveling, camping and shopping.

Hailey was nominated by Mandy Nitz "because she is an outstanding student who has all the character traits which will maker her successful." Nitz said that "each time I have taught Hailey, she has worked hard, participated willingly in class discussions and group assignments and set a high standard in the classroom environment."

Hailey plans to study elementary education at Montana State Univeristy-Northern in hopes of becoming a fourth or fifth-grade teacher.
