Havre Police Department

A caller reported Wednesday at 8:07 a.m. that a vehicle hit a mailbox on Hidden Valley Drive.

Jacob Holmes of Havre, 28, was arrested on an assault charge after a Second Avenue caller asked Wednesday at 10:19 a.m. to speak with an officer about a harassment issue.

Darren Wayne Keith of Havre, 34, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant, during a vehicle stop on 12th Street at 4:28 p.m. Wednesday.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Donald Joseph Haseagle of Dodson, 31, was arrested on a state District Court warrant at Hill County Detention Center Wednesday at 2:11 p.m.

Kollin Paul Verploegen of Havre, 20, was issued a summons on charges of speeding and possession of drug paraphernalia during a vehicle stop on First Street at 10:03 p.m. Wednesday.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to four calls Wednesday and one Thursday.

Firefighters responded to a call about a gas odor on the 1600 Block of Fifth Avenue at 8 a.m. Wednesday. The building was evacuated as a precaution, and a crew from NorthWestern Energy tightened a coupling at a meter.

Havre Animal Shelter

The Havre shelter this morning held one cat of unknown gender, six female cats, two male cats, a female 11-month-old kitten and a male 8-month-old kitten.

The shelter also held this morning a male mix breed 9-month-old puppy, two male mix-breed dogs, a male Labrador retriever dog, a female Chihuahua dog, a male Chihuahua dog, a female mix-breed 24-week-old puppy, a female mix-breed 8-month-old puppy, a female mix-breed 12-week-old puppy and a male boxer.

A boy was born Saturday, March 7, 2020, to Cassandra and Kent Pattison of Havre.
