Wholesale buyers and public invited to shop local at 2020 Made in Montana Tradeshow

Press release

The annual Made in Montana Tradeshow for Food & Gifts returns to Helena March 13 - 14 at the Lewis & Clark County Fairgrounds.

Hundreds of wholesale buyers attend to shop authentic Montana products exclusively for resale, and the public is invited to preview new, Montana-made products that stores will carry this season.

Wholesale buyers will connect with Made in Montana businesses Friday, March 13, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Buyers from across the region attend the tradeshow to stock their store shelves with authentic Montana-made products for the busy travel season.

Public Showcase Day is Saturday, March 14. The show floor is free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“Made in Montana is all about helping Montana small businesses get their products into the hands of consumers,” Montana Department of Commerce Director Tara Rice said. “This event gives producers an opportunity to connect with wholesale buyers from around the state and region and helps Made in Montana producers to grow their businesses in a sustainable way. On Saturday, the public is invited to see the latest and greatest from Montana entrepreneurs, and those businesses get to interact directly with new customers.”

Forty new and 110 returning artists, food producers, craftspeople and other entrepreneurs present Montana-made products at the Tradeshow. The Native American Made in Montana Pavilion features five vendors, where shoppers can purchase authentic Native American made products.

Last year, exhibitors reported a 60 percent increase in wholesale sales from 2018 and more than 4,500 shoppers attended public showcase day.
