The Chinook community hosted the American Red Cross Blood Drive Tuesday.
The drive saw 41 presenters with two deferrals making the total number of pints donated 39 on a goal of 39.
"We appreciate all who stopped by to donate," Chinook Red Cross Blood Drive Coordinator Carla Jenewein said in a press release. "Our next blood drive will be on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, from 12:30 to 6 p.m. at Wallner Hall."
Jenewein said people can go online early to schedule their next appointment at http://www.redcrossblood.org .
"It's never too early to schedule," she added.
She said the drive did not have any first-time donors. Roxanne Townsend reached one gallon, Ken Maly 11 gallons, Shelli Pruttis 10 gallons and Don Ross 16 gallons.
The canteen was hosted by the American Lutheran Church with Terry Grabofsky, Millie Smith, Sharon LaPlante and Mildred Dawson hosting.
"As always, the goodies were enjoyed by all of our donors, volunteers and guests," Jenewein said. "We are all so happy to have had you participate in this very important aspect of the blood drive."
Pastor Jack Mattingly and the United Methodist Church once again provided the site for the drive at Wallner Hall. Set-up for the drive was accomplished by Jenewein, and clean-up for this drive was made possible by Chrissy Downs and the Jump Youth Group.
Door prizes were provided by North Central Montana Cattle Women and the American Lutheran Church. Taking home door prizes were Roxanne Townsend, Elaine Hamilton, Rachael Gunderson, Cameron Huestis, Eslin Shryack, Shelli Pruttis, Don Ross, Tammy Williams, Rhonda Brewer, Walt Badrood-Mount, Faye Friede, Cindy Haney and Ken Maly.
"Others to be recognized for their willingness to contribute to the smooth running of the drive each time are the ladies at the welcome table," Jenewein said, "Linda Thompson, Donna Murdy and Patti Treftz. Paulette Keller delivered those beef gift certificates to me promptly before the drive once again.
"To each and every one of you, my gratitude for your willingness to donate and to participate in one way or another is unending," she added. "I apologize in advance if I have forgotten anybody."
