Local school districts have announced what seats are open for the upcoming school board elections, to be held Tuesday, May 5.
The deadline to file as a candidate for the election is Thursday, March 26.
In the Havre district, the three-year positions now held by Tim Scheele, Curtis Smeby and Cindy Erickson are up for election.
To file for a seat on the Havre School Board, people can contact District Clerk Shanna Flores for candidate forms.
The Chinook School District has three three-year term positions up for election. The seats in District 10 are held by Justin Simenson and Scott Gunderson and in District 17 the seat is held by Ernest Johnson.
To file for a seat on the Chinook School Board, people can contact District 10 Business Manager Moses Deanon for candidate forms.
The Big Sandy School District has announced two seats are up for election for a three-year term. Those two seats are held by Darin Genereux and Glenn Terry.

Box Elder School District has announced two seats with three-year terms are up for election, now held by Joseph Rosette and Timothy Rosette Jr.

The Davey School District has announced one trustee position is up for election for a three-year term. The seat is held by Fred Davey.

The Cottonwood School District has announced one trustee position, held by Janas Strauser, is up for election for a three-year term.

Turner-Hogeland Public Schools announced two seats are open for three-year terms, now held by Shawn Beck and Johannas Brown.

The representatives of the Harlem and North Star school districts with election information were not available for comment until Monday.
The Chester-Joplin-Inverness and Rocky Boy public school districts had not responded to requesst for comment by printing deadline this morning.
