Hi-Line Athletes of the Week

Brad Cichosz, Harlem Basketball

Brad Cichosz has done a lot in his high school career. But last Saturday, he did something no one else has done. The Harlem senior poured in a Montana state record 68 points in Harlem's win over Poplar, which was also senior night in Harlem. Cichosz, who was also a cross country state champion last fall, scored 44 points in the first half, and hit on 12 3-pointers in his historic night. The old MHSA record was 65 points set in 1988.

Kobi Burchard, Havre Swimming

Havre High junior Kobi Burchard brought not one, but two medals back from the Montana State Swimming Championships last Saturday in Great Falls. Burchard, a junior at HHS, swam a 1:18.89 to place fourth in the 100 breaststroke and she would swim a 1:11.26 to finish fifth in the 100 butterfly, giving her two Class A All-State swims, while also helping the HHS girls to a fifth-place finish in the final team standings.
