Fundraiser set in March for Hauser

Press release

A chili cook-off and silent auction benefit to defray medical costs and lost wages for Ted Hauser is set for March.

Hauser has been unable to work for several months after undergoing surgery to treat pneumonia in November and quadruple bypass heart surgery only weeks later.

The fundraiser to defray medical costs and lost wages for Hauser will be held 5-7:30 p.m., Sunday, March 15, in the North Star Elementary School gym, 205 3rd St., Gildford.

In November, Hauser was hospitalized several weeks in Great Falls and underwent surgery for pneumonia, and then was rushed back to Great Falls in late December to undergo and recover from quadruple bypass heart surgery.

Hauser, who is active in his local church and serves on the Hi-Line Pregnancy Resource Center Board, is self-employed and has been unable to work for several months.

The benefit features 10 different chilis, cornbread and dessert, as well as a silent auction.

Freewill donations will be accepted at the time of the event or donations can be made to the Ted Hauser Benefit account at Bear Paw Credit Union in Havre. Grain bushel donations also are being accepted at the Columbia Grain elevator in Rudyard.

For more information or to make a donation to the silent auction, contact Aaran Rambo at 376-3200.
