Jennifer Fatima Denny of Havre, 53, was arrested on a charge of criminal contempt at the police station at 7:10 a.m. Thursday in relation to a 24/7 Sobriety Program violation.

An arrest was made after a First Street West business caller reported Thursday at 9:14 a.m. receiving bad checks. Joshua Reid, who was named in the dispatch log as an involved party, was listed in the jail roster this morning as being held on charges of forgery, theft and probation violation.

A possible stolen gun was reported Thursday at 10:50 a.m. by caller at a Montana Avenue business.

Someone stopped at the police station Thursday at 11:11 a.m. to report finding a pink bike in the alley between First and Second streets west.

James Lawrence Daychild of Havre, 47, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct, after a caller on Second Street reported a neighbor was being threatening Thursday at 6:15 p.m.

Sheriff's Office dispatch log listed no arrests or investigations in the reporting period.
Havre Fire Department
Emergency medical personnel responded to three calls Thursday and a call early this morning that was in conjunction with the fire call.

Firefighters were called to the 400 Block of Eighth Street at 12:20 a.m. today for a carbon monoxide detector activation. The fire crew did detect the gas was present, and a NorthWestern Energy crew found a problem with a furnace. The furnace was shut down and tagged and the family asked to find other accommodations until it was fixed. One person who was complaining of a headache was examined on site but was not hospitalized.
Havre Animal Shelter
The Havre shelter this morning held seven cats of unknown gender, a female 10-month-old kitten, three male cats, seven female cats and a male 7-month-old kitten.

The shelter also held this morning a female boxer dog, a female 9-month-old German shepherd, a male mix-breed dog, a male Chihuahua dog, a male mix-breed 11-month-old puppy and a female mix-breed 7-month-puppy.
