Havre Police Department

Zakary Kenneth Canning of Havre, 25, was issued a summons on two counts of dog at large and further charges of "other" and vicious dog, after a caller reported Wednesday at 7:21 a.m. that he was walking in the alley between Fifth and Sixth streets and a dog jumped the fence and bit him.

Jasper James Q. Doney of Hays, 20, was arrested on charges of driving without a driver's license, driving under the influence of alcohol and minor in possession, after a First Street West caller reported at 1:39 a.m. today that a friend who had been drinking took off in the caller's car.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

The Sheriff's Office dispatch log listed no investigations or arrests in the reporting period.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to one medical call Wednesday.

Havre Animal Shelter

The Havre shelter this morning held 11 cats of unknown gender, two female 10-month-old kittens, six male cats, four female cats, a female 6-month-old kitten and a male 7-month-old kitten.

The shelter also held this morning a female 9-month-old German shepherd, a male mix-breed dog, a male Chihuahua dog and a male mix-breed 11-month-old puppy.
