Havre Police Department

A juvenile was issued a summons on a charge of obstructing a peace officer or other public servant after an officer investigated a juvenile status offense Thursday at 9:48 a.m.

Two arrests were made after the Havre Police Department received a call to assist another agency Thursday at 12:27 p.m. No details were provided on the charges.

A First Street caller reported a stolen comforter blanket Thursday at 7:45 p.m.

Monica Marie Muniz of Havre, 27, was issued a summons on a charge of disorderly conduct after a 11th Street caller reported a female screaming.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Renee Mary Pruys of Havre, 39, was arrested on a charge of theft by shoplifting after a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported Thursday at 3:28 p.m. a theft, forgery or fraud at the business.

An arrest was made after a U.S. Highway 2 caller reported Thursday at 4:13 p.m. regarding a past theft. No details were provided on the charges.

U.S. Highway 2 East caller reported Thursday at 5:24 p.m. a storage unit had been broken into.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to two calls Thursday.

Firefighters conducted a hazmat investigation after a caller reported a gas smell on 1100 Block of Mckinley Avenue. Firefighters did not detect any gas and called NorthWestern Energy which also did not detect any gas and closed the investigation.

Havre Animal Shelter

The Havre shelter this morning held 11 cats of unknown gender, two female 9-month-old kittens, 12 male cats, three female cats, one male 26 week-old kitten, one female 20-week-old kitten and one male 7-month-old kitten. Shelter personnel are working on another round of their trap/spay-neuter/release program, this time in the Fairview Trailer Court area, to help control the ferrel cat population in the city.

The shelter also held this morning a male American bulldog, a female mix-breed 21-week-old puppy, a male American Eskimo dog, a male mix-breed dog, one female mix-breed 6-month-old puppy, a male mix-breed 11-month-old puppy and a male mix-breed 8-month-old puppy and a female mixed 6-week-old puppy.
