Fort Peck Summer Theatre auditions at Glasgow Irle School

Press release

Fort Peck Summer Theatre has limited roles open for actors of all ages this summer, specifically in “Seussical” and “Sister Act,” however, the nun chorale can use several mature women. There are also two other large roles available: The newsboy, could be male or female, in “Working” and Gloria teenager, in “Wait Until Dark.”

Rehearsal schedules for each show are: “Seussical” begins May 29; performances June 19-July 5. Sister Act begins July 10; performances July 31-Aug. 16. Those auditioning need to check their summer calendars to be aware of any conflicts that may disrupt your rehearsal time.

At the time of auditions, there will be an opportunity to specify interest in a particular role and/or play. If cast, an individual may be offered as many as three roles, depending on need and talent pool.

Everyone should come prepared with a one-minute monologue and sing the selected song from “Seussical,” “Alone in the Universe”. This song can be found on our website http://www.fortpecktheatre.org. Upon being cast, rehearsals will occur three weeks prior to opening night of each play and typically take place on the weekends, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and weekday evenings. Not all actors are called to every rehearsal, depending on the role.

Local auditions will be held at the Glasgow Irle School Sunday, Feb. 9, from noon to 2 p.m. The minimum age requirement is those entering third grade fall of 2020.
