Crawford Distillery opens in new location

Crawford Distillery opens today at 3 p.m. in their new location 336 Second St., the former VFW Club.

"It's been a long time coming. We've been redoing this building now for about six months, we're ready and we're excited," said Alyssa Crawford, who owns the distillery with her husband, Neil.

Neil Crawford said the size of the location is a huge thing that is different compared to their previous building as the new location can seat approximately 80 people.

Alyssa Crawford said a new line of cocktails will be coming out once the business is up again and running fully, along with having flavored moonshines and cremes.

"Eventually, we would love to do food here, but that's way down the road," she said. "We are not only growing in size with seating, but (Neil's) capacity to distill is also growing. We can basically quadruple the amount he distills in the same amount of time, which is huge because we truly sell out as fast as we make it."  

She added that eventually they would like to distribute more of their products.

They currently distribute in Havre at the liquor store and some of the bars, sell some product in Great Falls and are looking to expand throughout the state of Montana then eventually sell online, she said.

Crawford Distillery was established in 2017 and was at their previous location on Fourth Avenue for about 18 months until moving to Second Street.

The distillery will be open Tuesday through Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. and Saturday noon to 8 p.m., Sunday 2 to 7 p.m., and will be closed on Mondays.
