Havre High School followed its emergency procedures protocol Friday and went into a hold in place while school staff members dealt with a student with a health issue.

The Havre Daily News requested more information Friday about what happened, but no response to the request had been received by printing deadline this morning.

The hold in place went into effect about 12:05 p.m. Friday and lasted until about 12:36 p.m.

In a hold in place, students, faculty and staff members go to the nearest approved room and remain inside the closed room until the hold in place is released.

The procedure allows the school to evaluate and deal with the situation while keeping students, faculty and staff out of the way in a safe location.

Havre Fire Department emergency medical technicians responded to the situation Friday.
