New women's clothing store opening Saturday

A new boutique, Georgiann's, located at 319 Second St., next to Havre Elks Club, will be back open for business Saturday.

"I named the store after my mother. I know she's my number one fan and that she's smiling down at me from heaven," Georgiann's owner Susie Schend said. "When Herberger's closed down I decided that I could help the older ladies out with their shopping needs. I basically want to cater to the older generation so that they have an option to shop as a lot of them don't drive or have internet."

She added that she carries items for younger generations, as well.

Georgiann's carries women's clothing and accessories, which includes slippers, socks, scarves, ponchos, gloves, purses, all kinds of jewelry, wine tumblers and other miscellaneous items. 

"I hope to eventually carry petite, regular, plus and tall sizes," Shend said. "Depending on how well the store does, I hope to open it up to carry footwear, lingerie and possibly junior, boys and girls sizes."

She said will also have her Avon inventory.

Georgiann's will be open Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
