A Tuesday 4:27 p.m. call about a vehicle blocking the road on U.S. Highway 2 West was referred to another law enforcement agency.

A Tuesday 4:51 p.m. call about a semitractor-trailer running a vehicle off the road at Wildhorse Road and Montana Highway 233 was referred to another law enforcement agency.
Havre Fire Department
Emergency medical personnel responded to three calls Tuesday and two calls early this morning.

Firefighters responded to a fire alarm on the 200 Block of Montana Avenue at 7:53 a.m. Tuesday and only had to reset a malfunctioning alarm.

Firefighters were called to a vehicle fire on the 1200 block of Buttery Drive at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday. The fire, which was determined to be caused by a mechanical failure, was put out with a portable extinguisher.
Havre Animal Shelter
The Havre shelter this morning held one long-hair cat, two medium-hair cats, one medium-hair 16-week-old kitten, one medium-hair 12-week-old kitten, two long-hair 18-week-old kittens and one short-hair cat all of unknown gender, one male and one female 13-week-old medium-hair kittens, one male and one female long-hair cat, one female and one male short-hair cats, one male and one female medium-hair 14-week-old kittens, one male and one female medium-hair cats and a female long-hair 19-week-old kitten.

The shelter also held this morning three female Yorkshire terrier-mix 18-week-old puppies, a male pit bull terrier dog, a male Akbash dog, a female mix-breed dog, a female shepherd dog, a male mix-breed Bernese mountain dog, a male Australian cattle dog-blue heeler mix dog, a female pit bull terrier-Labrador retriever mix dog, a male mix-breed dog and a male mix-breed 6-month-old puppy.
