Paint and Pints for Paws set for Dec. 7
Press release
The Havre Dog Park Club is holding two fundraisers just in time to brighten spirits for the holiday season.
The club is holding its second annual Calendar Contest, and everyone can vote for their favorite photos to appear in the 2020 calendar.
Also, the club will hold Paint and Pints for Paws, an afternoon of painting led by Havre artist Tana Rai Faltrino Dec. 7.
The photos entered in the Calendar Contest are on display at Old Station Brewing Co., 140 First St. in Havre, and on the home page of the club’s website, http://www.havredogpark.com . Each vote costs $5 and can be cast at Old Station Brewing Co. or via PayPal on the website.
People submit their money and the number of the photo they are voting for. People paying on the website need to be sure to enter the photo number in the “Write a note” space on the PayPal donation form.
Votes are due by Wednesday. The fundraiser has no limit on the number of votes people can submit. All 89 photos entered in the contest are competing for the 13 spots in the calendar. The photo with the most votes will appear on the cover.
Calendars can be preordered at http://www.havredogpark.com for $15.
Paint and Pints for Paws costs $30 to attend and is limited to 30 people. Faltrino will lead participants in painting a seasonal picture. The event will run from 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 7 at Old Station Brewing Co. Faltrino is donating a door prize.
All painting supplies will be provided. However, people might want to wear an old shirt or bring an apron to protect their clothes. The painting canvas is supplied, but if people have a large rock or piece of wood they would like to paint on, they are welcome to bring them.
Call Juanita Sanborn at 262-7932 to sign up for Paint and Pints for Paws.
