Havre speech team does well at Columbia Falls

A Havre High School debate team went nearly undefeated to place at a massive tournament in Columbia Falls Saturday.

Juniors Joram Randolph and Noah Teasley lost a round to a Whitefish team first round, then drew a random bye for the second round and proceeded to beat teams from Columbia Falls and Frenchtown to go 3-1 and finish in fifth place.

“I am really proud of Noah and Joram,” head coach Tim Leeds said. “They lost a tough, close debate first round, and if they had won that they probably would have been in finals fighting it out for first place.”
