Rodney Lane Cooper passed away November 17th, 2019, at the age of 57 due to complications of diabetes.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Schnider Funeral Home in Great Falls and services will be held June 14, 2020. The place and time will be determined at a later date.
Rodney was born in Casper, Wyoming, to Mary Ann and Donald Cooper on June 14th, 1962. He was their fifth child out of seven. The family moved to Havre, MT, when Rodney was young, and Havre was where Rodney resided throughout his life.
Rodney and his former wife, Maggie Cooper, welcomed the love of their lives in the form of a daughter they named Dezerae Marie during their union. If anyone knew Rodney, they had heard him speak of his daughter, he reminded everyone there was no one he was prouder of and no one he loved more, she truly was his greatest love.
Life was not always easy on Rodney, he sometimes took the harder road, but in recent years he had worked to overcome those obstacles. We were blessed to get these final years with him. Rodney was known for his quick wit and way of making everyone in a room laugh until they cried, something that will be greatly missed. Rodney enjoyed nothing more than watching his grandchildren's sports, school activities and cherished every moment he was surrounded by them.
Rodney is preceded in death by his father, Donald; his brother Robert; his granddaughter Meghan; his grandparents; as well as many friends and extended family members he lost along the way.
In addition to Rodney's beloved daughter, Dezerae (Cody) Nagel, he is also survived by his mother, Mary Ann Cooper; grandchildren Andrew, Sean, Brayden, and Easton; siblings Randy (Veronica) Cooper, Ronald (Nona) Cooper, Richard Cooper, Rochelle Cooper, and Russell Cooper; six nieces and nephews; among friends that were also thought of as family.
