Havre High School's drama department premieres its production of "The Addams Family" tonight starting at 7 in the high school auditorium.
Tickets are $5 for students and seniors, $7 for adults and can be purchased at the door.
Director Angela Pratt said the show is one of her favorites.
"I have always loved 'The Addams Family' and knew that we had the talent to fill the roles," she said.
The play is based on a popular 1960s television series that was made into an animated television series in the 1970s and has been made into several live-action and animated movies, including an animated feature released this year.
Pratt said the play, a musical, has a fun story line.
"Wednesday Addams has fallen in love, and she and Lucas have decided to get married. So now their families have to meet. Both worry that their families are not normal enough to get along. As they meet, chaos ensues and relationships are put to the test. Can family ties conquer all?" Pratt added.
The show is not only unique from other productions of the same one, but this production has the character of Lurch - the immense, slow-moving and quiet butler - played by a girl, she said. This is also the biggest set build yet in her work at the high school, she added.
"The play is a comedy full of fun and family struggle. It is not scary and is family-friendly, so bring your whole clan to meet ours and let the fun begin," she said.
The production will run for two weekends, tonight at 7 and Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m. and next Friday, Nov. 29, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 30, at 2 and 7 p.m.
