Snow again blanketed the region, dropping wet, heavy snow in flurries that set a new Havre record for precipitation although it did not hit a new record for snowfall. National Weather Service reports the official station at the Havre City-County Airport west of town received 3.9 inches of snow through midnight, with the record of 4.9 inches set in 1996. The wet snow equated to a new Havre record for precipitation on Nov. 19, .39 inches. A winter weather advisory was in place to the south and west, including Chouteau County, through 11 a.m. today. The forecast for this region calls for cloudy to clear skies through the weekend with highs in the 30s into the 40s, with a chance of rain and possilbly some snow Sunday turning into a slight chance of snow early next week.
