McKenzie Clark, Fort Benton Volleyball

The Fort Benton Longhorns had a special run at last weekend's Northern C volleyball tournament in Cascade. And in beating Belt twice, the Longhorns won the Northern C championship, and McKenzie Clark was a big reason why. In the winner-take-all championship match Saturday, Clark tallied 17 kills and six blocks. And for the tourney, Clark averaged 11 kills and four blocks per match. Clark also excels on the basketball court and the track for the Longhorns.

Jace Thompson, Fort Benton Football

The Fort Benton football team is playing in the Class C semifinals Saturday. And a big reason why the Longhorns are there is two-way standout Jace Thompson. In Fort Benton's 33-30 win over Park City last Saturday, Thompson caught three touchdown passes, while also excelling on defense. Thompson's TDs covered 24, 31 and 37 yards, while he also scored on a three-yard touchdown run, as the Longhorns advanced to the semifinals against Fairview. Thompson is also a member of the Fort Benton basketball team.
