Quick Pics: Gas leak closes off 200 Block of Second Street

Havre Police and Fire Department and NorthWestern Energy investigate a gas odor at 225 Second Street shortly after 8 this morning. The street was blocked off by police vehicles with a fire truck and ambulance on the scene. The gas leak was reported at 7:37 this morning. Havre Fire Department responded to the call and confirmed a small gas leak around the furnace of the building. NorthWestern Energy was called and were repairing the leak this morning. Havre Fire Chief Mel Paulson said that the 200 Block of Second Street was closed for a short period of time while the fire department assessed the danger in the building.
