Clarification - Main Street group moving forward with official recognition, projects

Hill County Community Foundation Chair Pam Veis contacted Havre Daily News to clarify information included in Tuesday’s article “Main Street group moving forward with official recognition, projects.”

The Hill County Community Foundation was one of two Montana counties approached by Montana Community Foundation two years ago to participate in Community Leadership Development Initiative training sessions, which members completed last spring. As a result of this participation, HCCF has a $5,000 grant available to them from Montana Community Foundation and “we just need to specify how Downtown Havre Matters! will use that $5,000,” she said.

She added this $5,000 is completely separate from the $4,500 they have for the annual grant cycle happening right now.
