Mason Dionne, Havre High Football
Havre High senior running back Mason Dionne has had some special nights on the Blue Pony Stadium turf, but he might have just saved his best for his own senior night. Last Friday, Dionne rushed for 200-plus yards on an incredible 37 carries in Havre's 30-8 homecoming thrashing of arch rival Lewistown. Dionne, who has now rushed for over 2,000 yards in his Blue Pony career, also scored two touchdowns as Havre clinched a Class A home playoff game. Dionne and the Ponies will host Lewistown again Saturday.
Tamera O'Leary, Havre High X-Country
Havre High junior Tamera O'Leary didn't let cold, nor snow, stop her from running an outstanding race on the final day of the 2019 cross country season. Last Saturday in Great Falls, O'Leary finished 27th overall in the Class A girls state championship race. She finished her run in 21:00 flat to earn a spot in the top 30. O'Leary was also the Blue Ponies' top finisher, as she just edged out teammate Hannah Haslem, who came in at an outstanding 28th place. O'Leary is also a standout on the tennis court for the Blue Ponies in the spring.
