Montana sets events to Celebrate National Veterans Small Business Week

The Veterans Business Outreach Center hosted by Big Sky Economic Development has announced a series of training and social events aimed at highlighting veterans and military spouse business ownership in Montana during National Veterans Small Business Week.

In partnership with Bunker Labs-Bozeman and the Small Business Administration’s Montana District Office, the Outreach Center is celebrating the week with five events highlighting veteran and military spouse entrepreneurship in Montana.

• Techstars Startup Weekend Billings:

To start the week just right veterans, active duty, guard/reserve component members, and military spouses are invited to attend the full Startup Weekend Billings experience for free.

— Nov. 1-3, Event starts at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Montana State University Billings, Glacier Room/Student Union.

• Veterans Business Week Summit in Bozeman:

In partnership with Bunker Labs-Bozeman, SBA’s Montana District Office, and Montana Joining Community Forces, veterans and military spouses are invited to a summit where they’ll hear from a host of premiere speakers on issues critical to Veterans looking to start or grow their business.

— Nov. 4, 2-5 p.m., Element Hotel, Bozeman, 25 East Mendenhall.

• Bunker Brews Bozeman Veteran’s Business Week Kick-Off:

Following the summit, veterans, military spouses, and civilians alike can network with experts investors, thought leaders, and more in an environment focused on growth and development.

— Nov. 4, 5-8 p.m., Squire House, Bozeman, 25 East Mendenhall.

• 1 Million Cups — Veteran Edition:

The recently launched 1MC Billings Chapter is highlighting National Veterans Small Business Week by inviting two veteran/military spouse-owned businesses to present at the weekly event.

— Nov. 6, 9-10 a.m., Last Chance Pub & Cider Mill, Billings, 203 Montana Ave.

• VetBiz Billings Meetup at Trailhead Spirits:

Veterans, military spouses, community leaders and area experts gather to network and celebrate veteran business ownership.

— Nov. 7, 4-6 p.m., Trailhead Spirits, Billings, 1400 South 24th St. West.
