Havre Police Department

A hockey stick was found by an officer in the middle of Fifth Avenue Wednesday at 8:24 a.m.

A caller on Third Street reported Wednesday at 12:27 p.m. that man had a cut to his throat.

A summons was issued after a caller in Havre reported Wednesday at 5:48 p.m. he went to tow a vehicle and the owner came outside, put a plate on it and drove away. No details on charges were provided.

Desmond Thomas Ferguson of Havre, 25, was arrested on charges of negligent endangerment, failing to stop and identify self after striking and unattended vehicle, failing to give notice of an accident and reckless driving, after a caller on Second Street asked for assistance in a disturbance at 9:21 p.m. Wednesday and officers made a vehicle stop on Third Street at 9:46 p.m.

An arrest was made after a 13th Street West caller reported at 4:53 this morning being beat up by their boyfriend.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Melanie Olive Rosette of Havre, 38, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant served at Hill County Detention Center Wednesday at 2:47 p.m.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to six calls Wednesday and two today.

Havre Animal Shelter

The Havre shelter this morning held four 10-week-old kittens of unknown gender, a male Maine coon cat, a female short-hair cat, two male and two female medium-hair cats, a female munchkin-manx cat, a female calico cat, a female munchkin cat and a female long-hair 13-week-old kitten.

The shelter also held this morning a female Australian shepherd-border collie dog, one male and one female shepherd dogs, a female and a male mix-breed 11-week-old puppies, a male mix-breed 13-week-old puppy, a male Akbash dog, a female Labrador retriever dog, a male mix-breed Bernese mountain dog, a female mix-breed 12-week-old puppy and two male mix-breed dogs. The shelter also was housing one 9-week-old female mixed-breed puppy.
