Sam Oliver, Havre High Volleyball
The Havre Blue Ponies had a thrilling win over new Northeast A rival Glendive last Saturday afternoon. And the way senior Sam Oliver played was just as thrilling. Oliver, who also was key in the Ponies’ win at Conrad last Thursday night, tallied a match-high 16 kills, to go along with 18 digs in the Ponies’ five-set triumph over the Red Devils. Oliver is having a big season for Havre High, where she also plays on the varsity basketball team and is an All-Conference short stop for the Blue Pony softball team in the spring.
Clint Darlington, Big Sandy Football
There were plenty of highlights from Big Sandy’s dominant win over Heart Butte last Friday night. And Clint Darlington had several of them. Darlington scored three different ways for the undefeated Pioneers in their 88-6 win over the Warriors. He scored a rushing touchdown, he caught a pass for a score and he forced a fumble that he also scooped and scored on as well. Darlington and the Pioneers will play Power-Dutton-Brady next week for the North Division championship.
