Letter to the Editor - Taking responsibility for my actions

I would like to make the following statement regarding my legal situation, although I will not comment directly on any legal pending matter, I can comment in regards to my probation violation.

Any questions regarding pending charges need to be directed to my attorney Jason Holden at Faure & Holden Law Firm in Great Falls.

Over the past two years my family and I have experienced many impactful circumstances and situations,

A near-death frost-bite incident, a loss of our family business due to fire, hydro nephrosis of my kidneys, and also a severe car accident. These situations have led to overwhelming emotional and physical pain that I chose to cope with in unhealthy ways. I felt that I could no longer deal with the load and I folded.

I want to take personal responsibility for my actions. I have received treatment at Passages Malibu in California which I have experienced a lot of success and implemented a program that they helped create for me which in turn has kept me clean and able to live a sober and productive life. I am grateful to Passages in so many ways.

However, the past few months I have failed to work my program of recovery and have let down myself, my family and many others along the way, for that I am greatly sorry.

I will waste no time getting back into my recovery. I will use this time wisely for personal reflection, physical rehabilitation, and spiritual growth. Recovery is not a destination but a journey.

We have all made mistakes and done things that we are not proud of; I am no different. I am asking the community to please show compassion to my family and me during this time. My actions are of my own doing and are in no way related nor due to or involved with anyone else and/or our family businesses. I look forward to coming back to work in Havre and working with the community.
