Obituary - Carolynne Racheal Gallagher June 24, 1937 - September 29, 2019

Carolynne "Carol" Racheal Gallagher passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019.

She was born June 24, 1937, in Bismarck, North Dakota, one of six children born to Harold and Anne Richardson.

Carol married John Lawrence Gallagher April 4, 1960 in Billings, MT, and moved to Havre, MT, the same year. In 1965 they purchased their family farm southeast of Havre, where they raised their 11 children.

Carol was a lifetime member of the DAV, VFW, American Legion and Eagles Auxiliaries, where she held various local and state offices. She also served on the local school board within Hill County for several decades.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John, her daughter Angela Kay O'Neil and four grandchildren, Rebecca Ann Gallagher, Michael John O'Neil, Misty Dawn O'Neil and Ryan Patrick Gallagher.

She is survived by 10 children, Robert (Debra) Gallagher of Havre, MT, Terry Gallagher of Rushville, NE, Julie Skramstad of Havre, MT, Jeanne Davis of Havre, MT, Cathleen Gallagher of Great Falls, MT, James (Alana) Gallagher of Coronado, CA, Karen (Brett) McCrummen of Billings, MT, Daniel (Michelle) Gallagher of Havre, MT, Jacqueline Gallagher of Billings, MT, and Michael Gallagher of Shepherd, MT.

She was a loving mother and mentor to her 11 children, 34 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be Monday, October 21, 2019, from 5-7 p.m at Holland & Bonine Funeral Home, 210 Third St., Havre, MT. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at 2 p.m. at St. Jude's Catholic Church, 600 Fourth St., Havre, MT. Private interment will take place Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at the Gallagher family farm southeast of Havre.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in Carol's name to the nursery through the Northern Montana Health Care Foundation.

Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements.
