Havre Police Department

Officers assisting another agency Wednesday at 11:35 a.m. made two arrests on Second Avenue. No details on the charges were provided.

A caller reported suspicious activity at or near Havre High School Wednesday at 1 p.m.

Ciara Clayre Ost of Havre, 35, was arrested on charges of obstructing a peace officer or other public servant, resisting arrest, carrying a concealed weapon while intoxicated and disorderly conduct, after callers in the Havre area requested assistance Wednesday at 7:28 p.m.

Duane Bradlee Snow of Hays, 57, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after a caller on First Street West reported at 2:41 a.m. today that a man needed assistance.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A caller on Montana Highway 234 reported at 1:17 a.m. today that a vehicle hit a cow on Beaver Creek Park.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to two calls Wednesday and one call today.

Firefighters responded to an 11:19 p.m. call to the 500 Block of Montana Avenue where a caller reported hearing a loud noise and seeing flashes outside the home. The fire crew found evidence that electricity had sparked at a meter to the house and monitored the home for heat and smoke until a NorthWestern Energy crew arrived to turn off the meter. The power would have to remain off until the owner could get an electrician to find and fix the problem.

Havre Animal Shelter

The Havre shelter this morning held four short-hair 13-week-old kittens, three medium-hair cats, a 15-week-old medium-hair kitten and a 12-week-old kitten all of unknown gender, a medium-hair 10-week-old kitten, a short-hair female cat, two medium-hair female cats, a female munchkin-manx cat, a female calico cat and a female munchkin cat.

The shelter also held this morning a female Australian shepherd-border collie dog, a male shepherd dog, a male golden retriever dogs, a female Labrador retriever dog, a female mixed-breed 10-month-old puppy, a mix-breed Burnese mountain dog, an Akbash dog, a male border collie-Australian cattle dog-blue heeler 26-week-old puppy and a male mixed-breed dog. The shelter also was housing one 7-week-old female mixed-breed puppy.
