Hi-Line Athletes of the Week

Cassidy Acor, Havre High Volleyball

It was a big weekend for the Havre High volleyball team, and also a big one for one of the Blue Ponies' biggest players. Senior Cassidy Acor had a strong showing in wins over Browning and Lewistown last week. Acor finished the road trip with 24 kills and five blocks. She had 15 kills at Lewistown and a team-high 2.5 blocks at Browning. Acor has been part of a strong start for the Ponies, who are in first place in the Northeast A standings. Acor is also a standout tennis player for Havre High in the spring.

Toby Niederegger, Chinook Football

The Chinook football team got its first win of 2019 last Friday against Cascade. And on homecoming, the win was bolstered by Toby Niederegger, who scored three touchdowns for the Sugarbeeters. Niederegger caught an 18-yard TD pass, and scored on runs of 65 and 72 yards, while rushing for over 200 on the night. Niederegger and teammate Sam Dumas both put up huge numbers on the ground for Chinook in the win. Niederegger is also a standout basketball player for the Sugarbeeters in the winter.
