“Locally and nationally the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks is known for our scholarships to high school seniors, our hoop shoot and our drug awareness program endorsed by the Drug Enforcement Agency of the United State government, and our pledge to end veteran’s homelessness in America,” Leeds added.
“Some of the great charitable programs we currently offer through the lodge include our soccer shoot, blanket drive, veteran’s giving tree, dictionary project and grant donations to various community organization,” he continued. “Also, we are proud to partner with other community organization on Memorial and Veterans day events and the community flag retirement ceremony.”
Attendees at the open house will also find out more about the social benefits of Elks membership from current members of the organization.
“This event is for members of the communities that our lodge serves to be introduced to the Elks organization in a relaxed, casual environment,” Leeds said. “Our lodge will have light appetizers for attendees to snack on and our club will be open for visitors to enjoy a beverage of their choice.”
