Havre Police Department

Milo Montgomery Moor of Havre, 27, was arrested on two charges of violation of a protective order after a Havre caller reported Friday at 12:54 p.m that a man was trying to get third-party contact with the caller's daughter, though there is a no contact order in place.

A summons was issued on tobacco usage charges after officers were called to Havre Middle School Friday at 1:34 p.m.

--

Someone stopped at the police station Friday at 2:48 p.m. with questions for officers.

--

Two younger men in red tops were reported Friday at 5:28 p.m. to have stolen four 18-packs of beer from a First Street business.

A Lincoln Avenue caller reported two aggressive German shepherds Friday at 7:36 p.m.

George E. Hofer of Geraldine, 59, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct after an officer stopped on Second Street to assist an ambulance crew with an intoxicated man Saturday at 1:17 a.m.

A non-injury vehicle crash between a black Jeep and a Ford Fusion was reported along First Street Saturday at 12:24 p.m.

A caller at 1:05 p.m. Saturday reported his vehicle was backed into at Havre High School.

A 10th Avenue caller reported credit card fraud Saturday at 1:23 p.m.

A blue Mongoose bike was reported Saturday at 3:08 p.m. stolen from 10th Avenue.

A First Street caller reported Sunday at 8:25 a.m. that vehicle tires had been slashed during the night.

A caller reported Sunday at 12:29 p.m. hitting a power pole on First Street West.

Jacob Allan Strissel of Rudyard, 36, was arrested on charges of assault with a weapon and negligent endangerment, after a caller at Havre High School reported Sunday at 12:58 p.m. that a man pointed a pistol through his window after the caller pulled out in front of him at a stop sign.

An arrest was made after a caller on Third Street reported a man and a woman fighting Sunday at 6:01 p.m. but details were not listed. Melinda Cochran, who was named in the dispatch log as being involved in the incident, was listed in the jail roster this morning as being held on an assault charge and $585 bail.

A caller reported Sunday at 6:34 p.m that his vehicle's driver's side mirror had been broken off in a hit-and-run crash on Boulevard Avenue.

Isaiah Terrence Eubanks of Havre, 18, was issued a summons on a charge of possession of dangerous drugs, after a caller at a Montana State University-Northern residence hall reported a marijuana odor Sunday at 6:46 p.m.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A caller near Fifth Street North asked for assistance at 1:05 p.m. Friday with traffic control until a semitractor-trailer that was stalled on the roadway could be moved by a wrecker service.

A caller on Fifth Street in Kremlin reported Saturday at 11:41 a.m. that a house was broken into.

Kaleb Emanuel Freyholtz of Hingham, 29, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant and charges of traffic crime, expired registration, driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license, habitual traffic offender, driving without vehicle insurance and obstructing a peace officer or other public servant, during a vehicle stop in Rudyard Saturday at 11:25 p.m.

Richard Dean Johnson of Chinook, 32, was arrested on a trespass to property charge after a caller made a complaint Sunday at 12:34 a.m. Sunday.

A report of a vehicle crash between a silver Elantra and a black Dodge was referred to another law enforcement agency at 9:28 a.m.

--

A caller reported a woman was throwing stuff at a truck at a Box Elder establishment at 12:59 a.m. today.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to two calls Friday, four calls Saturday, four calls Sunday and one this morning.

--

Firefighters had a call about smoke on the 1800 Block of First Street at 2:40 p.m. canceled en route. The smoke was coming from tires at the burn-out competition.

--

During a call about a gas smell on the 1700 Block of Second Street at 4:58 p.m., firefighters found a connection behind a stove was leaking. NorthWestern Energy was called in to shut off the gas and advise owners about getting it fixed.

Havre Animal Shelter

The Havre shelter this morning held eight short-hair 11-week-old kittens and three medium-hair 9-week-old kittens all of unknown gender, along with a male medium-hair 14-week-old kitten, two medium-hair male 15-week-old kittens, one short-hair female cat, two female and one male medium-hair 6-month-old kittens, two medium-hair female cats, a female munchkin-manx cat, one long-hair female cat, a female calico cat and a female munchkin cat.

The shelter also held this morning a female Australian shepherd-border collie dog, a male golden retriever dogs, one female and one male Labrador retriever dogs, a female mixed-breed 10-month-old puppy and a male mixed-breed dog, and was also housing one 5-week-old female mixed-breed puppy.

Births

A boy was born Friday, Sept. 20, 2019, to Bernida Denny and Kyle Duran of Rocky Boy.
