Havre Optometric Clinic celebrates Paraoptometric Recognition Week

From Havre Optometric Clinic

The American Optometric Association and Drs. Doug Safley, Larry Obie and Gary Stremcha designated this week Sept. 16-20, as Paraoptometric Recognition Week.

Now in its 17th year, the recognition week is the only formal observance in the nation specifically intended to honor optometric practice staff for their dedication to the patients they serve and to the profession of optometry.

Paraoptometrics are key members of the eye care delivery team in optometric offices all across the country. Their role is even more critical to providing the best patient care possible in today's health care environment.

The doctors at Havre Optometric Clinic summarized the important role of their office's staff for a successful practice, saying, "As demand for eye care services continues to grow, paraoptometrics will remain a vital part of the eye-care team. A well-trained optometric staff is of utmost importance and play a role in every successful optometric practice. We as doctors of optometry recognize our paraoptometric staff for their dedication, knowledge and professionalism in serving our patients."
