Weather Service honors Hansen for decades of observation

Richard Hansen was presented with a 45 Year Length of Service Award from the National Weather Service office in Great Falls. Richard is a backup observer for his son and takes and records daily weather records located at Gildford including maximum and minimum temperatures, precipitation, snowfall and snow depth for the National Weather Service COOP observing program. Weather records from this area date back to 1958.
