Grief Poem - They've Gone Ahead

A little girl left earth this week, her parents are distraught.

Then neighbor, "Jill," left this earth, too, tough battle she had fought.

A brother of a special friend took off for Heaven's "shore."

His leaving was a big surprise, he only was fourscore.

A long-time friend of ninety-five, could hardly wait to "leave!"

Before she "left," we visited, she'd told us not to grieve.

So - young or old, lived near or far, God knows our total "sum."

Our days on earth, God's numbered them, one day He'll tell us, "COME!"

A new heaven and a new earth, someday we'll be there, too.

How exciting that day will be, when we've been made brand new!

When our time comes, we'll fly away, we'll cross that Golden Shore.

Healed in Heaven, have happiness, with Earthly cares, No More!

We'll see our friends and family, all those who've gone above.

We'll all be there, with You, dear Lord, because of Your great Love!
