Havre Police Department

A caller on Cactus Drive reported Wednesday at 11:54 a.m. that medications were stolen from the mailbox.

Kelley Marie Kaftan of Havre, 37, was arrested on an assault charge after a caller reported a fight near the gazebo in Pepin Park Wednesday at 12:37 p.m.

A two-vehicle, non-injury crash was reported Wednesday at 3:28 p.m. on 10th Street.

--

A First Street business caller reported at 12:31 a.m. today that a woman had stolen a 18-pack of beer.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A caller driving northbound on U.S. Highway 87 reported a northbound red or cranberry colored Ford Taurus being driven in the wrong lane Wednesday at 5:32 p.m. Deputies and Montana Highway Patrol responded but the vehicle was not located after it got too far ahead of the calling party.

A Wednesday 9:17 p.m. caller on First Street Southeast in Box Elder reported a burglary.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to four calls Wednesday, and firefighters responded to an alarm Wednesday to 3:39 p.m. on the 10 Block of Third Street West, which turned out to be an alarm activated by sheetrock dust.

Havre Animal Shelter

The Havre shelter this morning held six short-hair 7-week-old kittens, four medium-hair 11-week-old kittens, three medium-hair 4-week-old kittens, one medium-hair 21-week-old kitten, one long-hair 22-week-old kitten and a long-hair cat, all of unknown gender along with two medium-hair female cats and one long-hair female cat.

The shelter also held this morning three female Labrador retriever dogs, a male mixed-breed dog, a male shepherd dog, a male Labrador retriever dog, a female corgi-pit bull 7-month-old puppy and a male mixed-breed 11-month-old puppy. The shelter was also housing a 1-week-old female mixed-breed puppy and one male and two female mixed-breed 6-week-old puppies. Six 6-week-old puppies and a 2-year-old female dog were being fostered off-site.
