Patricia was born November 5, 1923, in Havre to Thomas and Lydia (Doering) Callahan. She was raised in Havre, attending St. Jude School through the eighth grade and graduating from Havre High School in 1941. She worked as a telephone operator for Ma Bell until her marriage to Jesse L. Morris in 1947. The couple had three children, whom they raised in Havre. In 1975, Jesse passed away, and Patricia returned to work, this time as a switchboard operator at the Hill County Courthouse, where she remained until her retirement in the mid '90s.
In her younger years, Patricia enjoyed reading and her time as a Cub Scout Leader. She liked to watch Little League, and continued to watch sports on TV as her children got older. She was a lifelong member of the Catholic Daughters, and attended St. Jude Catholic Church for many years. Patricia enjoyed her Friday night pizza dates with her good friend Thelma McLain, and driving to the mountains with her granddaughter Natalie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Morris; sons, Jack and Daniel Morris; daughter-in-law Susan Morris; parents, Thomas and Lydia Callahan; and siblings, Patrick and John Callahan and Kathleen Overcast.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Beth (Dave) Rucinsky of Havre; grandchildren, Jesse (Liz) Lohse and Natalie (Herman) Bautista, all of Havre; great-grandchildren, Danielle Lohse, Jovee and Bella Bautista and Judge Lohse, and numerous nieces and nephews.
