Known for bringing in big name rock and metal bands, Rockin’ the Rivers is Montana’s original homegrown three-day rockfest.
Starting Thursday and running through Saturday at The Bridge outside Three Forks, this year’s festival will be headlined by Cheap Trick Thursday, Zakk Sabbath featuring the Viking Thunder god Zakk Wylde Friday, and Lou Gramm, original voice of Foreigner, and Asia featuring John Payne finishing up the party Saturday night.
Zakk Wylde will be joined on stage by Rob “Blasko” Nickolson, who plays with Ozzy and Rob Zombie, on the bass, along with Joey Castillo, who plays with Danzig and Queens of the Stone Age, on drums.
This year’s artists collectively have more than 60 top 40 hits, with 30 of them hitting Billboard’s Top 10. Rockin’ the Rivers’ fans are sure to recognize many of this year’s performers such as Warrant and their hit song “Cherry Pie,” Saliva singing “Your Disease,” rock band Dokken shredding their hits “Alone Again” and “In My Dreams,” along with The Guess Who and Hinder who, combined, have 26 Top 40 hits.
