Obituary - Daniel Walter Ferris

Daniel Walter Ferris, 64, passed away unexpectedly July 1, 2019, at his home in Rudyard. 

Danny was 10th of 11 children. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Gladys and Fred Ferris; and his stepfather, Leon Lemieux; along with four siblings, Robert, Joe, Joline, and Helen.

Danny left behind his two sons, Ryan of Alaska and Beau of Deer Lodge; five grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and six siblings, Linda (Bob) Chapman of Lewistown, Corinne (Elroy) Skarderud of Chester, Pat Murphy of Great Falls, Cathy (Zane) Adams of Great Falls, Tom (Myra) Ferris of Helena, and John (Elsa) of Merced, California.

Danny was an extremely kind soul. He lived by himself with nine chickens and his precious dog, Sammy. His greatest joys were when his sons came to visit, any visitors who stopped by, his garden, playing cards with Corinne and fishing.

He loved woodworking projects and tinkering in the garage. You could always find him there with the music loud and a fire burning.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date. He is in God's hands now but taken far too soon. He will be missed terribly by everyone who knew him.
