Havre Police Department

A caller on Wilson Avenue reported Monday at 7:09 a.m. that a skunk was caught in a cat trap.

A Montana State University-Northern caller reported at 9:31 a.m. Monday that trees on the campus had been vandalized.

--

Monday at 12:46 p.m., mail was reported stolen from a Third Street mailbox.

--

A Third Street caller reported Monday at 2:50 p.m. that two motorcycles had been stolen.

--

Officers assisted Rocky Boy police Monday at 7:22 p.m. with a man who had been reported at 7:12 p.m. as being combative in the emergency room.

--

A caller at Third Avenue and Fifth Street reported a woman in a gray shirt and black sweats who appeared to be trying to break into vehicles Monday at 11:13 p.m.

--

Someone stopped at the police station at 3:35 a.m. today to report an assault.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies investigated a theft, forgery or fraud in the Fresno Reservoir area, reported Monday at 1:21 p.m.

Monday at 9:53 p.m. at a Box Elder establishment, Rocky Boy Police Department reported finding a stolen vehicle.

--

Laurie Lynn Stiffarm of Harlem, 46, was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia after a 12:12 a.m. call today from Hill County Detention Center personnel in booking.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to five calls Sunday and four calls Monday.

Firefighters were called to a dumpster fire on the 1000 Block of Sixth Street North at 11:35 p.m. Monday. The fire was contained to the dumpster, but a cause for the fire could not be determined.

Havre Animal Shelter

The Havre shelter this morning held one medium-hair cat, one long-hair cat and two 9-week-old medium-hair kittens all of unknown gender, and one medium-hair male cat, two short-hair female cats, one medium-hair female cat and one long-haired cat.

The shelter also held this morning one female mixed-breed dog, one female shepherd-Labrador retriever dog, a male shepherd dog, a male Labrador retriever dog, a male mixed-breed 9-month-old puppy, a female mixed-breed 8-month-old puppy, a male dachshund 6-month-old puppy and a female mixed-breed 6-month-old puppy. A 5-year-old male Chihuahua was also at the shelter.
