Lynn R. Werk was sentenced to five years plus five years probation after she pleaded guilty to drug charges.
Werk pleaded guilty Feb. 28, 2019, to a felony count of criminal distribution of dangerous drugs alleging she gave away methamphetamine Nov. 19, 2018, and admitted violating conditions of her release on a three-year deferred imposition of sentence for 2014 charges she distributed hydrocodone.
She was charged after officers trying to find a probationer who had not gone to work and was reported to have a company vehicle in her possession found Werk and other suspects with 11.7 grams of meth and drug paraphernalia in the residence.
Judge Robert Olson sentenced Werk in state District Court in Havre April 19, imposing a sentence of 10 years with five suspended on the 2018c distribution charge and three years on the 2014 charges, all to run at the same time, with credit for 121 days served on both sentences. He imposed a $500 fine, suspended, and ordered Werk to pay fees and surcharges on the 2018 sentence.
A felony count of criminal possession of dangerous drugs and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed from the 2018 case.
If Werk had abided by all conditions of her release in the deferred imposition on the 2014 charges, she could have petitioned to have the charges struck from her record.
