Roland L. Knutson, 73, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019, at his Sun City West, AZ, residence due to natural causes.
Cremation has taken place, and memorial services will be scheduled at a later date in Havre.
Ron was born January 10, 1946, to Kenneth and Frances Knutson. He attended Gildford Schools and graduated in 1964. After graduating he went to North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, North Dakota. He also served in the National Guard.
On April 19, 1970, he married Betty Dreager of Havre. They resided in Sunburst for one year and the following year they moved to Gildford so he could continue to farm. In March of 1974, a daughter, Jacinte, was born. Six years later they moved to Havre where he continued to farm in Gildford and north of Havre. They enjoyed many winters in Arizona for the next several years.
Once he sold his property in Havre, he then spent summers in Illinois and winters in Arizona. The last year he resided only in Sun City West. Over the years he enjoyed playing cards, golfing, watching baseball and basketball games, and entertaining his friends and family. Ron also had a passion for sports cars.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Betty.
He is survived by brother, Rick (Joan) Knutson of Bozeman; daughter, Jacinte (Chris) Kasallis of Elgin, Ill.; one granddaughter, Hailee Kasallis, of Elgin, Ill.; one niece and five nephews.
