Library slates summer events, Blast Off Carnival June 12

The Havre-Hill County Library is swinging into summer with a Blast Off Carnival to start the Summer Reading Program: A Universe of Stories, and the rest of its schedule of special summer events.

The event is free and open to the public.

The carnival is set for Wednesday, June 12, in the library parking lot at 402 Third Ave. The event will include games, caricatures by artist Betsey Lee and Summer Reading sign up. Story Time will not take place that day.

People don’t need a library card to attend any programs such as Story Time or Lego Time, but will need one to sign up for Summer Reading. The staff will help people without library cards obtain one. All that they need is an I.D. to get a library card.

People who can’t make the Blast off Carnival may sign up any time between June 12 and Aug. 9.
