Car vs. bike sends rider to hospital

Montana Highway Patrol reports investigating two crashes in the area over the weekend including one that sent a bicyclist to the hospital.

A car versus bicycle crash was reported on U.S. Highway 2 Saturday at 9:36 a.m. Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred about three miles east of Gildford.

CPR was being performed on the bicyclist while an ambulance was called. Hill County Sheriff’s Offic and the Highway Patrol also were notified, the patrol reports

The victim was transported to the hospital.

Highway Patrol also responded to a crash at 2:15 am. Saturday, near the intersection of 28th Street and Bullhook Road.

Patrol reports the crash was a rollover, and the driver, who was banged up but conscious, was taken to the hospital.
