Big Sandy holding community yard sale

Organizers of a fundraiser in Big Sandy are inviting people to come spend a day shopping in the community to help fund events for students next year. 

“Join us for a fun-filled day of yard saling all around the township of Big Sandy, MT,” organizer Keely Bahnmiller said in a release. “With over 30 yard sales — most are multi-family, too — to check out, you’re sure to find some treasures.”

The community yard sale is set for Saturday, June 15, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

People are invited to stop by Bear Paw Coffee Shop and Deli for some coffee and breakfast and get a map of the sales.

The local Barracuda Swim Team athletes and their coaches will be hosting a taco-in-a-bag and taco salad with drinks and dessert at the senior center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Proceeds will help cover the cost of equipment, meets and more.

The cost to holding a sale is $10 to cover advertising in the local paper and printing maps for those coming to the sale. 

The proceeds from two yard sale proceeds will be donated to the Big Sandy Elementary School to help with some extra costs that teachers usually have to cover.
