Editor,
On Saturday, May 11, the Friends of the Clack Museum hosted the Fourth Annual Historic Tea — “Family Legacies.” The funds raised were donated to the New Havre History Center’s building projects.
On behalf of the H. Earl Clack Memorial Museum Board of Hill County and the H. Earl and Margaret Turner Clack Foundation, I would like to express our deep appreciation to the many, many women and men who helped make this memorable afternoon a huge success.
Karen Vosen, Marisa Robertson and Jody Olson co-chaired the event. The table hostesses, the servers, the food preparers, the kitchen staff and the crew at the Best Western Havre Inn and Suites are all extended a heartfelt “thank you”. In addition, thank you to Barb Zuck for the beautiful harp music, Rachael Dean and Grant Olson for the very entertaining “Montana History Jeopardy” game and Mike Haugen for serving as Master of Ceremonies. A special “thank you” to Karen Vosen for her donation of the quilt. It was beautiful!
We thank all the guests at the Tea and thank you to all who so generously donated to our new museum. We especially would like to thank the community of Havre and the Hi-Line for their continued and generous support of our fund raising efforts. One more “thank you” goes to both boards — museum board and foundation board — for their never-tiring work on behalf of Havre’s History. The telling and preserving of Havre’s— and the Hi-Line’s — unique history is in good hands.
Judi Dritshulas, vice-chair, H. Earl Clack Memorial Museum Board
