Obituary - Leonard Edwin Doney 03-06-1941 to 12-26-2018

Leonard Edwin Doney died Dec. 26, 2018.

Leonard was born March 6, 1941, at Zortman, Mt. He was the youngest son of Lydia (Lavenger) Doney and Pete Doney. He was married to Marla Kinsley and later divorced. He retired from the BNSF Railway and made his home in Havre, Mt.

He is preceded in death by his mother, father, son Terry Doney, brothers, Charles Laverdure, Elmer Doney, Alex "Jiggs" Doney, Donald "Andy" Doney and Gene Doney, and sisters Grace Campbell, Alice Pewonka, Ruby LaTray and Maxine LaTray.

He is survived by sons Chance Williams, Gordon Ironman, and daughter, Ranae Torres, sister Edna (Gordon) Teske; grandson, Wayne Durbin, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Leonard had many hobbies. He will be remembered for his guitar playing, his great love of the outdoors especially for his dogs, hunting, fishing and horseback riding, and boxing.

A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2019, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church. It will be followed by his interment in Highland Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the church.
