From Independence Bank
Independence Bank has announced that Karene Faber has been promoted to vice president of consumer lending.
In her new position, Faber will oversee the consumer lending, one-to-four-family residential real estate departments and support staff for the six branch locations including Havre, Poplar, Scobey, Conrad, Malta and Glasgow.
Faber has been with Independ-ence Bank since 2003 and most recently served as the assistant vice president of consumer lending. She is a graduate of Montana State University-Northern with a bachelor's degree in business.
"Karene has been instrumental in the growth of our Consumer Lending Department at Independence Bank," Executive Vice President/Chief Credit Officer Bill Keller said. "Her understanding of the Hi-Line and her knowledge of the issues facing our customers will help her shape policy and provide products that truly address our customers' needs. In addition, we know Karene will continue to provide great leadership to our consumer lending team."
A Chinook High School graduate, Faber was raised on a ranch near Cleveland. She said she enjoys time at the ranch, kayaking, camping, skiing and traveling. She is a member of the MSU-Northern Rodeo Booster Club.
