I read Ann Coulter’s column about Charlottesville. However she tries to soft-pedal Trump’s speech, I cannot buy it. Thanks to the media, we actually heard him say, “There are good guys on both sides.”
Who would have thought that we would see neo-Nazis marching on American soil and chanting, “Jews will not replace us”? Sometimes there are evil people and they need to be called out.
Three of my uncles were disturbed enough by the Holocaust that they enlisted during WWII. My dad tried to enlist but was ineligible because of a past illness. Tow of these men were pacifists, as was my dad, making this a particularly tough decision.
Unfortunately, if we do not learn about history, we are doomed to repeat our past mistakes.
